Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Sales Manager to oversee the Bakery Division in the Abu Dhabi region. This role requires hands-on sales leadership, deep market understanding of bakery/FMCG products, and the ability to drive performance across retail, HORECA, and distribution channels. The ideal candidate will support the Sales Manager in expanding market presence, increasing revenue, and managing key client relationships.Key Responsibilities:• Sales Execution & Target Achievement:Drive sales of bakery products (bread, cakes, pastries, etc.) across assigned channels to meet monthly and annual sales targets.• Market Development:Identify and onboard new customers in retail, HORECA, and institutional sectors. Maintain strong market intelligence and track competitor activities.• Team Management:Supervise and support the field sales team, including sales representatives, merchandisers, and delivery supervisors. Ensure daily route coverage and target performance.• Key Account Management:Maintain and grow relationships with key retail and wholesale accounts. Handle negotiations, pricing, and product listings.• Product & Promotion Planning:Coordinate with marketing to plan and implement region-specific product promotions, tastings, and seasonal campaigns.• Logistics Coordination:Work closely with production and logistics to ensure stock availability, timely delivery, and minimal wastage of perishable bakery items.• Reporting & Analysis:Generate and analyze weekly/monthly sales reports. Track sales KPIs and provide insights for strategic planning.• Customer Service & Issue Resolution:Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints related to product quality, delivery, or invoicing. Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing. MBA preferred.• 4–6 years of FMCG sales experience with a minimum of 2 years in the bakery or perishables category.• Experience in managing retail and HORECA accounts in the UAE, especially Abu Dhabi region.• Knowledge of UAE FMCG retail dynamics, local trade networks, and distribution systems.• Valid UAE Driving License required.Key Skills:• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills• Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities• Deep understanding of bakery product shelf-life, handling, and merchandising• Proficiency in MS Office and FMCG ERP/CRM tools• Analytical and proactive mindset• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple accounts, Naukrigulf, AL JADEED BAKERY (L.L.C)
