Job Description

About the Role:

The Associate Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis reports directly to senior leadership and plays a pivotal role in shaping RAKBANK’s financial strategy. This role involves close collaboration with business units, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals. The AVP will lead a team of financial analysts and work cross-functionally to deliver insights that drive strategic and operational decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across the Bank.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles with precision and timeliness.
• Develop and maintain financial models to assess performance and guide strategic decisions.
• Monitor KPIs and business objectives, offering insights for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with departments to deliver actionable financial insights.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making and cost optimization.
• Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts.
• Evaluate financial viability of new products and initiatives.
• Monitor RORAC and RAROC performance metrics.
• Enhance MIS systems for timely and automated reporting.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Liaise with stakeholders to align financial strategies and resolve challenges.
• Exercise sound judgment within policy and authorization frameworks.

What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, CFA, or ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in banking.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling tools.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and cross-departmental collaboration.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of banking products, financial regulations, and risk-return principles.
