About the role

The role is primarily responsible for selling the Bank’s merchant acquiring range of products and solutions, with a focus on maximizing profitability. The incumbent will leverage expertise in POS and E-commerce domains to provide merchants with tailored solutions, from sales through to payment implementation. You will report to the Vice President of Merchant Acquiring Sales. You will collaborate with various stakeholders like SME Business Team, Operations & Compliance Teams, Technology and Payment Implementation Teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Implement strategies to achieve pre-agreed merchant acquiring volume and revenue targets.
• Identify and onboard new merchants with a target of at least 25 new businesses and AED 50,000 rental monthly.
• Monitor merchant transactions and volume; design retention strategies to minimize attrition and manage dormant merchants.
• Collaborate with SME business team for lead generation and closure.
• Generate independent leads and proactively close them.
• Ensure merchant documentation is complete, agreements are signed/stamped, and KYC compliance is met.
• Deliver excellent service for merchant onboarding, payment gateway services, and integration.
• Manage prescribed processes for e-commerce setup, activation, acquirer chargebacks, and merchant updates.
• Safeguard confidentiality of commercially sensitive information.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and UAE Central Bank regulations.

What We’re Looking For:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in merchant acquiring sales, payments, or business development, preferably in the UAE.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets through direct and indirect channels.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end merchant acquiring processes (sales, onboarding, and payments).
• Industry: Must have experience with Banking & Financial Services, Payments & Fintech industry.
