Job Summary

Qualifications
• Academic: Ph.D. with minimum 5 years college teaching experience
• Administrative: Minimum 3 years as a college president from any type of U.S. higher education institution or 4 years as a vice president from an American liberal arts college.

Leadership
Demonstrates excellence in the following categories of college leadership
• At all times student-centered in priorities and decision making
• Highly committed to the role of liberal arts and specifically general education for the 21st century learners
• Strong interpersonal and team building skills which energize the organization by example
• Directly engaged in ensuring faculty have the resources as well as demonstrated dedication to IHC’s active, collaborative and technology rich learning system.
• Leads from personal energy and ideas as well as execution of board approved strategic plans and goals
• Effectively serves the Board of Trustees as the chief executive officer, carries out board policies, develops and implements procedures, and maintains ongoing communication.
• Assures the sound fiscal management of the college and secures extramural resources of revenues, through partnerships, special programs and projects.
• Embraces global and multi-cultural learning, serves as a role model for relating well to diverse groups of students and communities, and has a strong visible presence in the Dubai community as the college leader and representative.

Performance Goals
At the beginning of service as president she/he will prepare with the IHB Board Chair a statement of performance-based goals for the president’s office. This will be an annual activity and will be a major determinant in performance reviews, compensation and related activities as directed by the Board.
