Al Ittihad National Private School – Al Ain is seeking a dynamic and experienced English Lead Teacher to join its academic leadership team. The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred), a valid teaching license, and a minimum of five (5) years of full-time teaching experience.
The candidate should have a strong background in instructional leadership, curriculum planning, and teacher mentorship. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, support, and guide both students and colleagues. Experience in American curriculum schools is considered an advantage.
For non-native English speakers, a minimum overall IELTS score of 7 is required.

Job Description:
The English Lead Teacher is responsible for:
• Leading curriculum planning, promoting instructional excellence, and mentoring teachers within the English department. The role includes classroom teaching, setting departmental goals, guiding assessment practices, and ensuring alignment with school-wide academic standards and curriculum expectations.
• Teach all areas related to the subject and relevant curriculum.
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior and social development.
• Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for students to explore, manipulate, and use in learning activities.
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
• Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems, or special academic interests.
• Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and SEN Department.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on students and activities, as required by ADEK/KHDA and School.
• Assess students through conducting quizzes, tests, project etc …
• Administer standardized ability and achievement tests and interpret results to determine students’ developmental levels and needs.
• Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisors.
Utilize different types of technology in the classroom in order to create meaningful learning experiences for students of all ages.
