Job Description:

This role involves transforming complex market data into clear insights, guiding our participation in the carbon markets and driving commercial value across the wider trading franchise. You will be responsible for delivering powerful forecasts and turning analysis into actionable trade ideas.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine supply and demand models to shape our carbon strategy.
• Track policy changes and market drivers to provide critical insights.
• Build data pipelines and dashboards to deliver real-time carbon market intelligence.
• Present complex analysis to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborate across power, gas, and trading teams to embed carbon insights into broader strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must possess strong Excel modelling skills, intermediate proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and automation, and in-depth knowledge of EU ETS mechanics. A bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, engineering, environmental science, or a related field is also required.
