Job Summary

You will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely client accounting and financial reporting services for a group of companies. This role requires a high level of professionalism, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Job Description
• Perform bookkeeping and prepare regular bank reconciliations.
• Preparing financial statements for various clients across different industries on a monthly and annual basis.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts for various clients.
• Gathering financial information, preparing documents, and ensuring the timely closure of the client’s books.
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns and providing related advisory support for clients.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of professional accounting standards to manage financial recordkeeping.
• Conducting technical and analytical reviews of tax returns to check for accuracy and qualified deductions.
• Support the processing of invoices, employee expenses, and payments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Contribute to the production of monthly management reports and annual statutory accounts.
• Maintain a strong understanding of relevant accounting standards and ensure compliance.
• Ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are consistently met.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations aligned with industry best practices.
• Prepare and process journals, ensuring correct treatment of accruals and prepayments.
• Perform variance analysis to support performance tracking and decision-making.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial or business advisory services.
• Prior experience with VAT return preparation and submission.

Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online).
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Soft Skills:
• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple offices.
