The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of microbiology, epidemiology, and healthcare procedures, coupled with outstanding communication skills to educate and guide healthcare professionals on effective infection prevention strategies. Through a combination of surveillance, education, and innovative interventions, the Infection Controller works towards creating a safer and healthier environment, ensuring that healthcare facilities remain compliant with health regulations and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement infection control policies to prevent disease spread.
Conduct regular infection control audits, ensuring compliance throughout facilities.
Educate healthcare staff on best practices for infection prevention and control.
Investigate incidents of infection outbreaks to identify root causes responsibly.
Advise and collaborate with management on infection control strategies effectively.
Monitor infection rates closely, analyzing trends for mitigation strategies implementation.
Ensure all healthcare workers adhere to hygiene protocols and standard precautions rigorously.
Review and recommend sanitation and disinfection solutions for hospital equipment.
Develop training sessions and materials to enhance infection prevention knowledge.
Stay updated on latest public health guidelines and apply them when applicable.
Report compliance issues to relevant authorities and contribute solutions promptly.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of safety and precaution.

Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field.
Proven experience in infection control roles within healthcare settings.
Certification in infection control and epidemiology is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of infection prevention practices and public health guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
Effective communication skills to educate and influence diverse groups.
