Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing mechanical engineering services including complete design assistance, inspections, determination of HVAC loads, pump sizing/selection, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, and fire protection systems. You will collaborate with a team of technicians, engineers, drafters, and surveyors to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Provide mechanical design services, including HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, duct and plumbing design. Conduct engineering analysis and design for projects from concept through final design and construction management, adhering to applicable codes and standards. Review project plans and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy. Monitor project development, including new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for real property facilities. Develop project calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications supporting project objectives and standards. Review conceptual studies and sketches for project features, materials, equipment, and specifications. Coordinate with other disciplines and U.S. Government entities to address safety, constructability, operability, and maintainability considerations. Monitor project progress, review specifications and schedules, and verify construction compliance. Use computer software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, GIS, and engineering calculation tools to facilitate engineering work.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Experience with AutoCAD 2012 or later. Licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred. Willingness to travel between ADAB TSG and AUAB TSG sites up to 4 times per year.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS :
Licensed Mechanical Engineer (preferred).
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
Strong technical background, organizational skills, attention to detail, and client interaction abilities. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
TRAVEL : As needed for the role.
SECURITY CLEARANCE : SECRET security clearance required.
