The organization is currently seeking a Middleware SME to lead the design, implementation, and governance of integration architecture and API strategies across cloud-native platforms, with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Integration Architecture & Strategy Define and implement an API-first integration strategy using Azure APIM, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions. Design greenfield integration patterns for new digital platforms, minimizing reliance on legacy systems. Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to ensure alignment with cloud-native and microservices-based architecture. API Delivery & Governance Lead the full lifecycle of APIs from design and documentation to deployment and monitoring within Azure APIM. Establish and enforce API governance policies including throttling, caching, versioning, and security standards. Project Execution Oversee the delivery of integration components across multiple squads and vendors. Ensure timely execution of integration milestones aligned with sprint goals and transformation timelines. Security & Compliance Implement secure API access using OAuth 2.0, Azure AD, and token-based authentication. Ensure all integration solutions comply with internal security policies and regulatory requirements. Monitoring & Optimization Set up observability using Azure Monitor and Application Insights to track API health and performance. Continuously optimize integration flows for latency, throughput, and cost efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering. 8+ years of experience in systems integration, with at least 3 years in a lead role. Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure API Management, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth, and CI/CD pipelines. Preferred Attributes Experience in greenfield digital transformation programs. Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate. Familiarity with event-driven architecture (e.g., Azure Event Grid, Service Bus). Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure, scalable APIs aligned with banking domain requirements (Core Banking, Wealth, KYC, AML). Configure and manage Azure APIM components: API Gateway, Management Plane, and Developer Portal. Define and enforce API policies including throttling, caching, transformation, and authentication (JWT, OAuth, certificates). Manage API versioning, subscriptions, and access control using role-based models. Collaborate with development and integration teams to ensure seamless API consumption and onboarding. Monitor API performance, usage analytics, and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements (especially relevant for KYC/AML). Support disaster recovery planning and DevOps integration for API lifecycle automation.
