Job Description
Gerab National Enterprises is hiring a Proposal Engineer who assist the Sales Team to achieve and exceed the sales targets that have been assigned and to generate revenue by carrying out sales process related activities.Responsibilities:Offer/Quotation ProcessRegister and log all inquiries received in the database.Review and evaluate received RFQ/Tender Documents & acknowledge the same in 24 hours.Prepare competitive & effective quotations in line with the client requirement and adhere to the companies policies.Coordinate with the QC department for Technical queries and clarifications.Coordinate with the Procurement Department to obtain the required quotations in a timely manner.Ensure that the received quotations are in line technically and commercially as per the requirements.Coordinate with all relevant departments including but not limited to Expediting, Legal, Local and Foreign Procurement and Quality Control to ensure that proposals prepared for inquiries and tenders are in compliance with the required terms and conditions.Interact with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.ContractsReview orders and ensure that the received orders are in line with our offer & interface the same into the data base.Sales Order ActivitiesOrder execution and Coordinate with all relevant departments including but not limited to Expediting, Local & Foreign Procurement to ensure that all contracts are executed in a proper and timely manner by meeting the promised dates.Coordinate with clients for all PO related issues not limited to MTC approval/Delivery schedule.Projects Managers/Expeditors to be informed on every detail of the job and if required should be called for meeting and information to be shared with everyone.Follow Up with the accounts department and ensure the Pro-forma Invoice/Bank Guarantee is sent to the client, if required.Documentation & FilingEnsure that all relevant files are kept in both soft and hard copies as per the format provided for all inquiries and tenders as per the company procedure.FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY:Acknowledge inquiries with the approval from Business Unit Head.Float inquiries in case of outsourcing the material.Submit small offers related to the company’s products within a certain limit with a fixed margin with approval from the Business Head.Select AML to make quotations more competitive & in line with the client requirements. Knowledge & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.Minimum sales experience of 2-3 years in Oil and Gas piping industry fieldSkills:Good verbal and written communication skillContract ManagementNegotiation skillsComputer knowledgeProduct knowledgeGood analytical skillsKnowledge of the steel and piping projects marketTelephone etiquette, Naukrigulf, Gerab National Enterprises LLC
