Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled radar systems engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced radar systems for mission-critical applications. This role is central to integrating machine learning techniques with radar technologies, driving innovation and enhancing system capabilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in radar signal processing, system architecture, and performance optimization.
Key responsibilities
• Design and develop radar systems, including hardware and software integration, to meet project requirements.
• Perform radar signal processing, algorithm development, and performance analysis.
• Develop system models and simulations to evaluate radar system capabilities and limitations.
• Integrate radar systems with machine learning algorithms to improve target detection and classification.
• Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of radar systems in lab and field environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware designers, and project managers, to ensure system compatibility.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in radar technology, machine learning, and relevant industry standards.
• Document designs, test results, and technical findings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in radar system design.
Qualifications
Education

• Master’s or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in radar systems design and development.
• Proven track record of working with radar signal processing and system performance evaluation.
Technical skills
• Proficiency in radar signal processing and algorithm development using tools like MATLAB, Python, or C++.
• Hands-on experience with radar hardware, including antennas, transceivers, and power systems.
• Strong understanding of RF engineering principles, including modulation, filtering, and spectrum analysis.
• Familiarity with machine learning applications for radar systems is a plus.
• Experience with system simulation tools and frameworks (e.g., STK, HFSS).
• Knowledge of radar standards, such as IEEE and MIL-STD.
Soft skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
