This role is critical in ensuring alignment with RTA s vision and global best practices in transportation engineering. What You ll Do * Facilitate management reviews on performance and progress towards design objectives and targets.* Advise on strategic objectives and key performance indicators for design activities and projects, ensuring compliance with RTA standards and regulations.* Guide the selection of consultants and partners for strategic tenders related to road design.* Provide input on the annual projects budget, monitor financial execution, and recommend adjustments during project implementation.* Conduct benchmarking studies to incorporate global best practices in highway services and infrastructure technologies.* Lead technical and specialized training for Design Section staff to enhance their capabilities.* Deliver strategic recommendations to support the planning and execution of critical transportation projects. Ideal Profile * Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering with 8+ years experience, Master s with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years in road design and related fields.* Strong knowledge of design standards, highway services, and infrastructure technologies.* Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects in compliance with technical and regulatory standards.* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.* Ability to provide technical leadership and conduct specialized training.
