Job Description

Job Role: Telecommunications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Telecommunications Specialist. This is a fully onsite position that requires excellent technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site surveys and meet with clients, construction crew members, utility company personnel, and other departments within the organization.
• Install, move, and modify telecommunications equipment according to job order specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Undertake telecommunications systems upgrades and answer queries related to system controls and maintenance of the system in general.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and maintain and repair telecommunications systems and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and specifications.
• Report and monitor service order changes.
Qualifications:
• High School with 3-6 years (or commensurate experience)
• Clearance Required: Secret
• 2 years’ lead-level practical experience in shop practices, installations, repair, and troubleshooting or maintenance of communications systems or equipment
• Expert in maintaining/troubleshooting Motorola and other LMR equipment
• Qualified to install LMR base stations, repeaters, and mobile radios
• LMR shop operations and management experience in a large-scale LMR shop
