We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of structural design principles and be able to apply them to a variety of projects. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of building structures, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and sustainable. You will prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports while coordinating with other engineers and architects. Your role will also include assessing and improving existing structures, considerable troubleshooting, and offering sound engineering solutions to complex structural issues. Responsibilities
Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using software tools.
Analyze configurations of structural components to ensure optimal performance.
Assess loads, pressures, and stresses on structural components and systems.
Collaborate with architects and other engineers on interdisciplinary projects.
Conduct field surveys and inspections to gather essential site data.
Evaluate existing structures and recommend improvements or repairs as needed.
Prepare design reports and present them clearly to stakeholders and clients.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Coordinate and review work with project managers and construction teams.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff members.
Remain current with industry advancements and incorporate new technologies as applicable.
Troubleshoot engineering design challenges with innovative problem-solving skills.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of five years experience in structural design within engineering firms.
Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent programs.
In-depth understanding of construction materials, structural analysis, and engineering principles.
Solid knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ACI and AISC.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with diverse project teams.
Strong analytical skills to assess and solve complex engineering problems effectively.
