About the Role
The role involves offering technical support, nurturing business opportunities, and maintaining high-level relationships with key customers in the poultry industry.
Responsibilities
• Offer technical support, in conjunction with relevant technical support teams, related to product performance, at key accounts and channel partners.
• Work with regional Account Managers to grow existing business, and nurture new opportunities, and actively participate in the sales process.
• Supervise customer and distributor poultry trials, visit research facilities, and deliver detailed analyses of trial results.
• Maintain high-level relationships with key customers and influencers, especially nutritionists and vets.
• Investigate customer complaints and resolve industry issues on-site, including product applications and marketing efforts.
• Engage in professional trade associations and committees related to the poultry industry.
• Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape for gastrointestinal health products and services and equip distributors through value messaging against competitors.
• Work with Account managers to create annual account plans for key customers and channel partners for their long-term growth and ensure direction is in alignment with global marketing plans.
• Be able to represent Novonesis on industry forums and be the voice of our solutions in trade shows and conferences, when needed.
Qualifications
• Masters’ or PhD in Animal Science, poultry nutrition, or related field.
• Experience in working with poultry nutrition, health, and production of poultry nutrition products. Understanding and experience in feed formulations involving probiotics and enzymes will be an advantage.
• Have over 5-9 years’ experience in poultry health and nutrition, with a solid understanding of application and product formulations.
Required Skills
• Strong drive, responsible, goal-oriented, well organized, and self-motivated, being able to develop regions independently.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and demonstrated proficiency in MS Office software (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel ~50% of the time primarily in the assigned region when required.
Preferred Skills
• Deep knowledge of the Poultry Health industry in North Africa and the Middle East.
• Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking with a strong affinity to value creation.
• Ability to network in the industry and be able to present in external forums.
• Good presentation skills to communicate both internally and externally.
