Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Professor to join our Travel, Tourism & Hospitality > Hospitality and Tourism faculty. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and possess at least 3 years of teaching and/or industry experience. The faculty member will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in academic research, mentoring students, and contributing to the development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality > Hospitality and Tourism Management.
• Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with academic standards.
• Supervise student research projects, internships, and dissertations.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed academic journals.
• Participate in curriculum review and program development initiatives.
• Collaborate with industry partners and contribute to community engagement.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Serve on academic committees and participate in departmental and university events.
Qualifications and Experience:
• PhD in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality > Hospitality Management, Tourism Studies, or a closely related field (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the university level or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven record of academic research and publications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with learning management systems and modern teaching methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Strong understanding of global Travel, Tourism & Hospitality > Hospitality and tourism trends.
• Experience in international accreditation and quality assurance processes.
• Familiarity with blended or online learning platforms.
• Ability to link theory with practical industry applications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 – AED6,500.00 per month
Education:
• Doctorate (Required)
